Monitoring Tutorial

How it works.
The monitoring menu contains a list of emails attached to your account that will be passively monitored by FortiPass.
Once per day FortiPass will query its data providers for password leaks and data breaches relevant to the emails you have listed below.
If any leaks or breaches are found, FortiPass will send an email to your FortiPass account email address.

Changing monitoring emails.
Adding an email for monitoring can be initiated by clicking the monitoring hyperlink under Account Settings in the Settings menu.
Once selected, the monitoring menu will appear. You can then add an remove email address from the list within the menu and click Save to update your monitoring settings.

What should I do if I get a breach notification?
If you get a notification for a leak or a breach that you were not previously aware of, it is recommended you take action to prevent any negative consequences.
As a bare minimum FortiPass recommends changing the password on the breached service for the affected email address. FortiPass also recommends changes the password for the affected email, on all other services that may use the same password.
Given many leaks and data breaches are different case to case, it is recommended you reach out separately to the breached service for information on how you can best secure your information for this particular case.
