FortiPass Decommissioning

What is happening to FortiPass?
From now until the 30th of June 2025, FortiPass will undergo a complete service decommissioning. Over this time, FortiPass service will be shutdown in stages, each stage stopping various components of the FortiPass service. Then finally stopping the service completely the service on the 30th of June 2025.
During this time, it is expected users of the FortiPass service should migrate to an alternative password management service. As after the 30th of June 2025, the service and app will be unavailable for use.
We will also take this time to mention that during and after the decommissioning period, and as always, that no one from FortiPass will contact you and ask for personal, password and financial information. We ask our users to be careful of any phishing attacks that may be impersonating FortiPass official channels during this period.

Decommissioning Timeline
Between now and the 30th of June 2025, FortiPass will be decommissioned in the following stages:

What will happen to my passwords and saved data?
From now until the 30th of June 2025, your password and saved data will be available as usual through the mobile application, website and browser extensions. However, after the 30th of June, you will no longer be able to access information stored within FortiPass. This includes all means of access, for example the mobile application, website and browser extensions.

What do I need to do?
Before the 30th of June 2025, users are required to complete the following items in the order listed below.

What if I can't find a new password manager?
If users are unable to migrate to a new password management tool, prior to 30th of June 2025, then it is recommended to export your current passwords/saved data from the service using our data export tools here, to prevent loss of data. However if users choose this method, they should be aware of the data insecurity implications and be aware of the FortiPass terms and conditions and privacy issues when doing so.

Information for Premium Users
The process for decommissioning will be the same for premium users of the service. The difference is around exist payment plan that you current have with the FortiPass service. During the month of May, your final payment will be issued, access will then be extended for your account until the end of the 30th of June regardless of your payment cycle's billing date during May. Then after the 30th of June your premium and free access will be turned off alongside all other users.
